Bronx man pleaded for return of his 4 beloved bulldogs and now they are back and safe

In Riverdale, Eusebio Baez, 35, the owner of  Churro, Mocha, Rosie, and Banksy, four beloved French and English bulldogs missing for five days, have been reunited after a frantic search.

The dogs—three French bulldogs and one English bulldog had disappeared while in the care of a trusted dog walker over the previous weekend.

This is the worrisome story for all pet owners about what happened via social media. Baez had been planning a weekend trip and hired a dog walker he had known for years to care for his pups while he was gone. When he returned on Sunday, March 22, the dogs and their collars and leashes were missing from his apartment.

Baez immediately reached out to the dog walker who claimed he had walked the dogs and then returned them, but when interviewed by the police, suddenly he “couldn’t remember” if he returned them. Security camera footage saw the dog walker leaving the building on Saturday, but later heading towards the subway station alone.

While desperate to find his dogs, Baez posted hundreds of flyers and pleaded on social media for their safe return offering a reward with “no questions asked.”

Baez filed a report with the police for grand larceny since the dogs were valued at over $30,000.

On Thursday morning, Baez received a tip from a stranger who told him he’d seen the dogs being walked by a man in Yonkers, just north of the Bronx. Baez decided to do some serious sleuthing on his own and camped out directly in front of the address given to him by the tipster.

Finally, a stranger stepped out with the dogs, and Baez confronted the person, who claimed he had found the dogs.

Baez reclaimed his dogs, brought them home, and they are all doing fine.

The New York Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident, though no arrests were immediately reported following the reunion.

Welcome home guys.

  1. That’s unreal!!! I imagine the dog walker will need to find a different career. He’s probably “judgement proof”. But he absolutely deserves to be punished and NEVER be allowed anywhere near companion animals again!!!
