In an awful and heartbreaking animal cruelty crime, a dog was intentionally pushed out of a vehicle and abandoned in the Waterford/East Lyme area of Connecticut on Saturday night.

The Facebook post, from the Waterford-East Lyme Animal Control, stated the female dog had been “pushed out of a car” on Way Hill Road in Waterford on the “coldest night so far this year, with a wind chill factors that feels like temperatures currently sitting at -12 degrees.”
The shelter is hoping someone recognizes the dog and comes forward with information as to her owners and/or the people involving in tossing her away. The dog had been “absolutely terrified” when she was found.

Fortunately, the dog was rescued in time before she easily could have frozen to death without protection or a warm place to hide. She remains at the shelter with a warm blanket and the rest of the hotdog used to lure her to safety by the rescue team.
