On Tuesday, a dog now dubbed Lala, was rescued in Needham, Massachusetts after being exposed to a massive snowstorm and below freezing temperatures for six days. Lala was found in a backyard on Bess Road after having been seen by concerned neighbors in the area several times.

Lala, a black, wire-haired terrier survived her ordeal amid two feet of snow after allegedly dumped in a parking lot. She is being treated for exposure and frost bitten paws.
According to the Needham Police Department, with the help of the Needham Fire Department and Animal Control Officer David Parsons, the dog was found Tuesday. The dog was taken to a veterinary hospital for treatment after enduring “six days of exposure to the elements, including below-freezing temperatures and nearly two feet of snow.”:

There has been an outpouring of support for Lala, and the community has offered to cover the veterinary costs, donate supplies and many offers to adopt the dog.
