Meet Yogurt (A582628), a very deserving shepherd mix who has encountered a litany of just bad luck. He arrived at the San Bernardino City Animal Shelter on July 22, 2025 after having been picked up by animal control officers as a stray.
According to shelter notes, two-year-old Yogurt has a significant limp and has not been able to bear weight on his front left leg. His elbow is swollen, and he might have a possible fracture but needs follow-up radiographs and medical treatment to determine if he needs a splint or possibly surgery.
Yogurt requires follow-up care that exceeds the resources currently available at the facility.

Because no one has arrived at the shelter to rescue him, Yogurt’s future looks dim:
Medical deadline: July 29, 2025. Risk: Humane euthanasia if no placement due to deteriorating condition.
Let’s face it; Yogurt is barely past puppyhood, and instead of being in a shelter with a deadline, shouldn’t he be out in the sunshine chasing butterflies and playing with a tennis ball?

Please share this boy’s plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives, and today is reportedly Yogurt’s last chance to see the sun rise and set.
