Just one week ago at Cincinnati Animal CARE, Applebutter was found tied to the fence. She had been abandoned; left alone and fighting for her life.

The rescue team discovered the English bulldog had been shot in the chest. She had lost a liter of blood, which had to be injected back into her to keep her from bleeding out. Against all odds, Applebutter pulled through.

Generous donations from animal rescue supporters helped the shelter purchase a portable ICU as they continue to build out their in-house lifesaving capabilities. This ICU has helped to provide careful 24/7 control of Applebutter’s environment throughout her recovery.

On social media, the pup’s adoption was announced:

And the best news? Applebutter is getting adopted later today. She hopes all her shelter friends find their forever homes soon and stay warm while they wait.

Have a great life Applebutter.
