In Queens, New York, photos of a couple duct taping a defenseless dog’s snout, eyes and legs quickly went viral on social media this week leading to an arrest announced Tuesday by the Queens District Attorney.
It had been on Saturday when Kristopher Fyffe had been spotted outside of a Queens park, allegedly duct taping a black and white dog. When a Good Samaritan confronted Fyffe, he supposedly waved a knife at the person. The person, who had become extremely upset, contacted police and recorded the actions of the man – later posting the disturbing video to social media.

A woman who saw the video recognized the man as Fyffe and reported a description of his van she had seen him driving. The woman also told authorities the man had several other dogs living in the vehicle.
Two days later, Fyffe was spotted driving his vehicle, and when police checked, the license plate did not correspond with the description of the vehicle. When stopped by police, officers noted there were five kennels in the vehicle – each with a pit bull inside. The kennels were reported to have been filthy and overrun with urine and feces from the dogs.
Fyffe has since been arrested and arraigned and charged with overdriving, torturing and injuring animals. In addition he faces charges for the failure to provide sustenance, menacing, failure to provide proper food and water as well as harassment.
Fyffe is scheduled to appear in court in November; if convicted he could face up to two years in prison.
The woman helping the suspect has not been apprehended; only her first name has been identified as Lisa.

The nine dogs have all been transferred to the ASPCA.
