At the San Bernadino California City Shelter, life for three beautiful Malinois shepherd sisters, along with six tiny puppies, were surrendered the day after Christmas by their owner. Their heartbreaking waiflike bodies hugged each other closely; their futures including the lives of the six recently born puppies hang in limbo.

By no fault of their own, these innocent lives have suffered from neglect and cruelty. Whether their owner will be prosecuted remains unclear, but overcrowded shelters, including San Bernardino Animal Shelter is not the solution for these precious lives.

Her name is Ella, and she is about a year old. Ella weighs 20 pounds and needs emergency placement by January 2, 2026
Both dogs are sweet, friendly and when they gain weight and fill out, they will be gorgeous once again. The dogs are currently being fed twice a day in order to gain weight. They can be fostered or rescued together. Both dogs have been observed as closely bonded, but if separating them is critical to saving their lives, please do not hesitate to intervene.
But please bare with us for one more Malinois; the young mother of six puppies who are being kept in another kennel.
