Meet Karen; this sweetheart is a three-year-old terrier mix who was rescued from a tough situation back in August 2024. She has maintained a heart full of hope and has lots of love to give, but lately Karen seems to be so sad. No one has asked to adopt her, and the staff is concerned Karen may be giving up hope of ever finding a home.
Check out her short video clip:
In the recent video Instagram video clip, Karen’s advocate stated her heart had been broken into a million little pieces. The normally happy and wiggly pup seemed to be so sad. And that’s frequently what happens to dogs when they have spent too much time in loud and stressful filled shelters. Sadly, Karen doesn’t even bring her favorite stuffie or her blanket to the front of her kennel.

But now it seems her joyful spirit has broken. I guess there’s only so much she can take…I JUST HATE SEEING HER LIKE THIS. PLEASE SHARE KAREN! She needs out…
Karen is described as being a little nervous when she first meets someone new, but her soft and gentle side comes into view as she warms up to the kind people who slowly approach her. She loves dog beds and loves to cuddle up and feel secure. Her ideal family would be someone with patience and one who will help her build the self-confidence she deserves.

In return, I promise to be a devoted and loving companion. Due to my nervous nature, I’m looking for a home with kids 14 & up! So if you think you can offer me the loving home I’m dreaming of, come meet me! Let’s see if we’re the perfect match and start a new, happy chapter together.
Please share Karen’s plight with friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives.

Karen is welcome to join us in Washington state. Challenge is to get her here……. Big questions is she “cat friendly”??? Also, is she “horse friendly”??? We can always separate her from our cats and horses but it’s helpful to know how she is with them.
