At the Pike County Animal Shelter in Pikeville, Kentucky, we meet Chase. No doubt he’s a staff favorite, because this sweet dog wants nothing more than to be with his human friends.

Chase recently gained attention when he successfully attempted a Tom Cruise escape plan out of his kennel. He scaled the side of his enclosure, carefully balanced at the top while planning his descent and carefully jumped to the freedom of the hallway.

Check out how he tries to figure out how to free the other dogs in their kennels. That always seems to be a problem even for escape artist dogs who don’t have opposable thumbs.

There’s little doubt that Chase won’t make a great addition to an active family. He is good with other dogs, however he prefers more submissive dogs. He still needs to get neutered and can be neutered one day this week.
Chase is now in a room instead of a kennel.

If you’re interested in this sweet boy, come by and meet him.
According to the shelter, Chase is just a sweet, lovable pooch with lots of energy. Playtime is his favorite time of the day, but he will gladly take play breaks to be cuddled and loved.
He would do best in a home with a fenced yard.
