Meet Angelo; a senior German shepherd at the San Bernardino City Animal Shelter, needs out of the shelter immediately. On November 17, the dog who could barely walk and seemed so defeated, arrived at the shelter after a witness spotted the dog being abandoned along the side of a country road.

No doubt Angelo has a broken heart. It’s more than likely he had been a loyal dog, but when he needed help as he aged, his owner turned his back. The person who found him told the shelter the person who abandoned the dog in the cold, pouring rain, covered the dog with a tarp and walked away.

Angelo’s stray hold expires on November 21, and he will be listed as Rescue Only.
ANGELO is listed as a male, black and brown German Shepherd (they have HIS age guessed as 5 years but he is definitely a senior – probably between 12 – 14 years old)

Donations are needed. (Please check and recheck before donating to make sure funds are going to the shelter and not some scammer trying to benefit off a dog in need.)
Please share Angelo’s plight with family, friends and social media contacts. Too often, senior dogs quietly perish from crowded shelters, but their lives do matter. For however Angelo has left, and to everyone who knows the loyalty of German shepherds and the love they give and receive, help this boy receive the help he needs.
