In Beaumont, California a complex of storage bins next to the railroad tracks would have been the most unlikely place to ever expect to find a tiny dog, but there he was. No one knows how he ended up there, and railroad workers at the lot said the dog had been living there for at least three weeks; another worker reported the dog may have been surviving on the remains of a dead cat.

The only water the dog had to drink in the storage lot’s desert like conditions, was from the slow drip of a leaky hose.

No one seemed to have cared about this poor little guy; he was often seen running and climbing under the storage container. What a scary and lonely life he had been dealt.
His luck, however changed on Wednesday. A kind woman spotted the dog and gave him her boiled eggs to eat. She contacted independent rescuer Faith Easdale asking for help for the dog. Jim Ralston and Faith headed out to find the dog.
…and sure enough there he was under one of the containers. ..
The humane traps were set, and the rescue team waited. The scent of the delicious foods left to lure him into the trap was too much for this hungry little guy to resist.

And today he is safe.

The dog does have a microchip, and volunteers have reached out to the owners to message them their dog has been found. As of this time, the owners have not responded. There have not been any posts on social media about him being lost or stolen, nor has the dog been reported missing to the chip company, and it remains a very sad situation for this dog.
If his family does not respond, and he has regained his health, he will be ready to find a forever home. If you’re interested, please contact Faith.
