Meet Sally; this sweet white shepherd blend has had one heck of a sad week, yet she’s such a star and a loyal hearted pup, has stayed the course and still loves everyone she meets.

It was just nine days ago that Sally watched an officer from the San Antonio Police Department shoot and kill her owner. Details of the deadly incident have not been shared, but this is about Sally, and this is about trying to help Sally find either a foster home or better yet – a family who wants to adopt her.

According to a volunteer at the City of San Antonio Animal Services, Sally (A673143) has been at the shelter for nine days, is four years old and gets along fine with other dogs.
She goes to play group, plays with other dogs, wants to be a better girl, and part of that is learning how to live with a family.
And here’s a bit more on this delightful pup who, by no fault of her own, should be curled up on a Sunday afternoon on the couch after a fun morning swimming and playing at the beach.
A volunteer reports;
“walks side by side with you, every step calm, steady, and drama-free. Whether it’s a stroll around the block or chilling on the couch, Sally’s presence is basically a chill pill in fur form.
She’s the kind of soul who nods politely at everyone she meets, gets along swimmingly with other dogs, and somehow makes your day feel a little lighter just by being near. Medium energy, maximum heart.
Sally’ s here through no fault of her own and she deserves a family who recognizes the rare, quiet magic she brings. Stop by ACS and meet your calm, loyal shadow. She might just be the friend you didn’t know you were looking for… but absolutely need.”

Please share Sally’s plight with friends, family, social media contacts and approved rescue organizations. She deserves better.
