In Compton, California, a soft-furred little terrier had been abandoned more than two weeks ago. He had wandered over to an industrial area and settled into trying to survive at the nearby metro station.

This friendly little pup, who had more than likely been betrayed by his owners, ran to one of the businesses nearby and scratched on the doorway as if asking for help. The workers in the area had huge, loving hearts and didn’t turn their backs. The group turned to Suzette Hall, founder of Logan’s Legacy 29, for help.

The work staff had become his temporary family, although at the time, they weren’t quite sure how to get him help. With the local animal shelters so overcrowded, the kindhearted people were too afraid he would be euthanized because of the injuries to his paws.

Instead, they made a living area for him; brought him blankets, a sweater and toys. In the morning his friends would leave him food and water.
these workers had become his family. and he would greet them every morning with his toy, so happy to see them.
Some days he would follow their cars wehn they went home; he didn’t want to be alone.
And then, at the end of the day and everyone had left, this little dog would return to the little home the nice people had made for him and wait until the next morning.
Today, I had the pleasure to rescue him
Oh my goodness what a wonderful little boy
He knew I had come to rescue him but he was so torn to leave his friends behind
Suzette and his temporary family gathered up his toy and blankets. And then this!

He ran back to say goodbye with his little blue toy in his mouth
His paws bleeding from foxtails but he still had so much love and thankfulness in his heart.
As Hall and her newest friend drove away, he snuggled up in his blankets and with his little toy and fell fast asleep; probably the safest and deepest sleep he had known for weeks.

Surgery is scheduled for his bleeding paws this morning. Meet Froggy.

Rescued in loving memory of my angel
