On Wednesday morning, the police called Stray Rescue of St. Louis and asked for their immediate help. It had been a heart wrenching scene of a vacant house with all the belongings of the homeowners left behind including two dogs and one bird in a cage.
Tragically, we sadly report one dog had been deceased as was the bird in the cage.
It is not known why the people left, and surely it had to have been in dire emergency and hurry, but rescuers were puzzled:
even though the house was in absolutely horrible shape, there were signs that told us these people loved their pets. police are looking into this and trying to find the missing homeowners.
The above photo reflects the moment the scared pup was found by his rescuers. The expression on his face is just heartbreaking.
Rescuers scooped up the little guy reassuring him life would get better from this moment on.
The team also brought back the deceased dog and the bird to have them cremated and give them their dignity, even in death.
More about the survivor as we follow the updates.
