In Montgomery County, Tennessee, a family’s 12-pound Havanese pooch had to be rescued by firefighters after getting stuck inside the base of a bidet. The pup, named Petey, was trapped inside the hollow porcelain “skirt” flush against the wall.
According to ClarksvilleNow, it had been on September 28 when Joy and Herb Martin could not find their dog. They searched and called for the pup, and finally heard Petey barking; he was trapped in the base of the toilet.

The family called for Petey to come out, but he was so scared, it was time to call for emergency help.
Firefighters from the Montgomery County Fire Service responded and realized Petey was truly trapped and crying in pain. Assistant Fire Chief Wesley O’Brien figured out that Petey had wiggled into a small opening of the skirt behind the bidet.
The firefighters loosened the bolts holding the toilet and were able to push the fixture away from the wall. Moments later a grateful pooch wiggled out of the toilet base. He was not harmed and quite happy to be reunited with his family.
Oh Petey!
