The Animal Charity of Ohio, located in Mahoning County, is asking for the public’s help identifying the person in the truck caught on a security camera video abandoning a small dog.
The dog, who has now been named Lemon, was abandoned in front of Plazaview Court as outdoor temperatures plummeted to below freezing. Straw had been packed in the crate and an old blanket placed over it. Perhaps that was the way the previous owner had hoped to keep the dog warm, however it is illegal to abandon a pet. What if no one had found Lemon in time?
When Lemon was found, she was obviously very cold. She is underweight but friendly and is glad to be with people and feeling the warmth inside.
