After a home invasion in Preston, Sonny a five-year-old Staffordshire terrier went missing from his home. His adoring family had been heartbroken and feared the dog had been stolen by the burglars for nefarious purposes.
For two days the family searched for Sonny in the friendly suburb of Melbourne, Victoria; posting notifications around the area, calling all of the local shelters and using their friends and neighbors to help in the search.

Detectives were able to procure a video of the burglary. Sonny was seen chasing (or following) the burglars.
Finally on Monday afternoon, Sonny was found.
A Good Samaritan found the dog after he wandered into her yard. She had gone door to door asking neighbors if they knew who the dog belonged, but later realized Sonny had been missing. The kind woman was able to make sure Sonny got home, and it was an emotional reunion.
It was an emotional reunion, and the family couldn’t be happier.
