According to the shelter’s Facebook page, and the posted photos, the person arrived at the shelter in a white Ford F-150 truck. In the bed of the truck was a female German shepherd sitting in a wire crate with no bottom. The man pulled the crate with the dog inside out of the truck and dragged it to the side of the building.

then they flipped the dog off and drove away, leaving her behind in distressing condition.

The dog is safe, and she is receiving the care she needs.

If anyone recognizes this person, the vehicle or the dog, please contact the Humane Society of Dickson County at 615.446.7387. The person who abandoned this sweet dog needs to be held accountable. Someone must recognize this person.

  1. I can’t understand how or why an individual would do this cruel act to a helpless being??? Would they dump their elderly relative or young child off at a hospital because they were “inconvenienced” by the care requirements??? I am wondering if humanity is regressing to uncivilized by these actions???
