At the Lancaster Animal Care Center in California, three senior dogs lost their homes, and all they have are each other in a crowded shelter with overwhelming noises. There are so many dogs barking, so many strangers gawking and then the endless clang of metal food and water bowls. How do three dogs suddenly thrown into the chaos of an animal shelter cope?

ANIMAL DETAILS

Gordo Code: #A5738077 — Male, neutered, senior, mixed small breed. Medical: heart issues, dental disease, significant concern for possible cancer.

Chickleen Code: #A5738079 — Male, neutered, senior, mixed small breed. Gentle, confused, lived with kids.

Lucky Code: #A5738080 — Male, neutered, senior, mixed small breed. Overweight, dental needs, shy but deeply bonded.

According to the staff and volunteers at the shelter, the three senior brothers had been surrendered together after spending their lives in the same home. Their owner had faced hardships and could no longer care for them. The sweet seniors didn’t do anything wrong; they simply grew old, and life became too hard for the person who loved them.

All three are neutered, have lived with kids and have only ever known life together. They’re gentle, loving and confused… and each carries the medical needs that come with age which includes heart concerns, dental issues, weight challenges and the general care seniors deserve.

They don ‘t just need a soft bed.

They need someone who can offer stability, routine, senior-appropriate vet care, and the patience to help them feel safe again.
