At Miami Dade Animal Services, Ozzie has spent 494 days at the shelter. All he has ever wanted was for someone to notice him, someone to love him and someone to take him home and provide him with a life full of tail wags, car rides and loving care.

Sadly, all Ozzie has received are broken promises. His life went from having been someone’s pet to a shelter dog in 2021. He was then adopted, but again, on February 2, 2024, he went from having been someone’s pet again to that same shelter dog again. And now for the past 494 days, he remains a shelter dog and hasn’t had much public attention because he’s in a rear kennel at the Medley, Florida location.
Ozzie never seems to get that second chance he so deserves, even though he was promised a better life.
he is now a burden to that shelter and taking up space. Tomorrow his long journey as an unwanted sweet boy ends.
Ozzie is just five-years-old (#A2229244). He is housetrained, easy to leash and has no issues with people. He loves going on walks and participates in playgroups. He has shown to be tolerant of cats, and when given the proper and slow introductions to other dogs, he has been reported to have done fine. (According to shelter notes, Ozzie would do best being the only dog in the home.)
Check out his video and related remarks about this sweet boy. Please share Ozzie’s plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives. We are Ozzie’s last chance.

This is so sad😭😭😭 I can’t foster to adopt this precious treasure because we have 4 dogs and he needs to be an “only dog” in the home. I am thinking that many animal rescuers are the same: have multiple furbabies………
I hope and pray to St. Francis that someone will step up for this precious treasure………
Any pupdates???
