In a heartbreaking discovery on Wednesday, at the Russellville, Kentucky Logan County Animal Care and Control, rescue personnel reported three puppies had been thrown over the fence.
On Friday, a $500 reward was being offered for information leading to the location of the individual shown in a video the shelter released to social media which showed a male walking around a blue pickup truck throwing the puppies one by one violently over the fence.

Later in the day, Logan County Sheriff Stephen Stratton confirmed a suspect identified as Peter Everhart, had been arrested. Everhart has been charged with three felonies and three misdemeanors, according to Stratton.
Stratton has confirmed the three puppies involved did not survive the incident. According to the shelter, it does not appear the dogs that were in the run killed the puppies, but stated they could not rule that out. The puppies did have puncture wounds.
