Located in the San Gabriel Valley of Whittier, California, Pet Rescue Solutions shared the heartbreaking story of a tiny five-pound puppy named Louie and his terrible encounters with both his owner and then a few of the neighborhood children.
Check out his short video on Instagram:
According to the rescue organization’s description of Louie’s first life’s experiences, “he was found being kicked around by kids like he didn’t matter. Then the one person he trusted threw him out for being ‘too energetic’.

Louie didn’t know; what healthy puppy doesn’t want to play? And for the record, most puppies do play bite, pee on the floor and chew on things perhaps they’re not supposed to, they have found lying within reach. Is that why his new family didn’t want him? Are puppies supposed to be perfect from the get go?
And poor Louie wasn’t able to defend himself from being kicked by kids whose parents should have no doubt taught their children better!
Commenters were outraged by the puppy’s poor treatment. On TikTok, his video clip garnered more than 41k views, and on Instagram more than 1k. There have been multiple applications to adopt Louie, and although he isn’t available yet, he is expected to be ready for his new home soon.
If you’re disappointed and are not chosen to adopt Louie, there are so many more little ones just waiting for their “forever” homes. Please check shelters near you and adopt – don’t shop.
