At the Riverside County Animal Control, Dusty’s future is in danger. He has been added to the list for humane euthanasia at anytime; he is just a puppy and is only five-months of age.

I am a neutered male, 15.80 pounds, white and black Alaskan Husky mix.

The shelter staff think I am about 5 months old.

I have been at the shelter since Sep 27, 2025.

I am an at risk animal. Please contact the shelter for more information. Shelter notes indicate Dusty has had an altercation with a kennel mate, however there is no information as to the other dog’s disposition, age and/or situation. Stating a dog, and in this case a five-month-old puppy, who didn’t get along with another dog in a kennel environment is hardly fair when trying to help these innocent victims of abandonment, cruelty or neglect find loving homes.

Rescue organizations need committed fosters, adopters and guaranteed pledges, especially for medical dogs, to help save dogs from being killed for space. Adoptions must be done in person at the shelter.

You can apply online on the dogs links. Always reference dogs by ID numbers. Names are repeated. Be the VOICE of the VOICELESS! Please share Dusty’s story with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives.
