A tiny, blind Chihuahua entered the Riverside County Animal Shelter in California om March 1, and no one knows anything about her history except she’s a senior and someone had surely loved her; her nails still have the remnants of having been painted blue as if she had once been someone’s precious companion.
Her eyes are clouded over from old age; she is estimated to be about 12-years-old, weighs only nine pounds, and she uses her hearing to compensate for her blindness. Her ears stand erect and move around for noises; surely she is listening for the kind voices and tender touches of the special person who will rescue her from the noisy, scary shelter.
