In Hainesport, New Jersey, first time homebuyer Aaron Gormley found more than he thought when he closed on his dream home. A new furry friend quickly worked his way into Gormley’s heart.
It had been during Gormley’s first visit to the home, when he spotted a handsome German shepherd in the backyard. Ranger, the six-year-old dog was slated to be surrendered to a rescue organization by his owner Shelby McNally. The woman had to make the difficult decision to leave him behind due to her family’s move to Florida for her husband’s health.
It had been a very difficult decision to have to surrender Ranger, but sometimes people have little choice.
Gormley, however had already felt a connection to Ranger.
Meanwhile Ranger had been moved to the Sedona Shepherd Sanctuary, but there was no doubt, he was lonely for his home.
He was such a good boy, like he didn’t need to be there, so for him to be in a good home, it’s the best, it’s the best outcome for everyone.
One week after Gormley closed on his new home, he filled out the adoption form information for six-year-old Ranger. A few days later, Ranger was brought home; this time with a new human, but the two bonded very quickly, and the moment Ranger stepped out of the car and was back to the only home he had ever known, he was both excited and relieved.
The two now go everywhere together, and Ranger’s life is once again complete, as so as with Gormley’s life.
Sometimes we all just need to be flexible. Great job Aaron and Ranger!
