Brokenhearted ‘Sir Scotty’ abandoned in carrier outside of pet store with his name on brief

Spread the love

A brokenhearted, one-year-old miniature Schnauzer mix was found abandoned in a travel carrier last week, left in front of a local Petco store. An employee found him, and reached out for help.

Inside of his plastic carrier was a brief note stating the dog’s name was “Sir” and that he had no home and was in need of help. Sadly, his owner lacked the compassion to take his puppy to a shelter or contact an animal rescue organization, so the frightened Sir Scotty has to remain at the shelter for the mandatory stray holding period for a week before he is made available for adoption.

Sir or Sir Scotty, as he is known, is so very frightened. First, he was abandoned by his person, and now he’s made to wait in a kennel surrounded by strangers, the clanks of metal food and water bowls and the endless howls and barks of other frightened dogs.

If you happen to visit the shelter, please head to their ‘small animal room’ and pay a visit to this little guy. Please try to reassure him that life will soon get better.
