The Pennsylvania SPCA has been given a heartbreaking holiday gift this season. Abandoned in a park, left in a cardboard box shivering and huddled together trying their best to stay warm, nine puppies were brought to the shelter on Tuesday afternoon.

The puppies are about four-weeks of age and have endured pain and misery no puppy should ever have to experience. They were abandoned in the cold weather (approximately 29 degrees with wind factor) and left to fend for themselves. Tiny puppies have no way to help themselves at this age.

the worldl had seemingly turned its head on them, but we couldn’t.
When the puppies arrived at the rescue organization, they were gently bathed, medically examined and placed into foster homes.
Welcome to the new Philadelphia Flyers – Coots, Mich, Ers, Seels, TK,Laughts, Sanny, Hath and Catesy. Their new lives have begun.

Since their arrival a few days ago, the puppies are reported to be thriving. They are too young at this time to be adopted, but they are reported to be playful, healthy and full of the joy they deserve.
