In the Watts neighborhood of southern Los Angeles, it’s obvious a tiny puppy wasn’t born perfect, and for that correctable birth defect by a qualified veterinarian, maybe the cost wasn’t worth what a backyard breeder could sell her for online or later in the streets?

So instead of heading towards a vet or an animal shelter, this particular unknown stonehearted breeder abandoned the puppy in a shopping cart in the late evening just before closing. There she was; just a little, frightened puppy crying for her mother.

It had been a Good Samaritan, Rossie who reached out to Suzette Hall, founder of Logan’s Legacy 29, for help. She brought the puppy food and waited until Suzette arrived. The puppy, so easily could have ended up in the wrong hands; a defenseless little puppy unable to defend herself against predators or even evil people.

Was she not perfect enough for you?
Dumped in a shopping cart at a grocery store
But she is perfect enough for us and we will get her everything she needs.
Suzette has been in touch with her vet and is monitoring the puppy’s hernia. If the open wound gets any larger, Suzette will be rushing the pup to an emergency room. She is due at the veterinary hospital Monday morning. Updates to follow.

This puppy, now named Love, might have been part of a litter currently at the Carson Animal Care Center. The timing is perfect. They were found near 15400 S. Main St., in Gardena. They are approximately three-months-old.
