In the Jurupa Valley, a cattle dog puppy had been abandoned along an isolated riverbed. For at least four days, she had been hiding from coyotes seen regularly hunting in the area. Sadly, an advertisement with her photo had been spotted online. Her owners had offered the puppy to anyone for free. And then when that didn’t work, they promised her a ride in the car with a destination to nowhere.

Did her former owners already know the puppy was sick and/or had been exposed to a canine deadly virus?
Days later, a kind man in the neighborhood saw the puppy and put out a plea for help. He gave her food and water, and hoped someone would show up very soon to rescue her.

Carlos saw a scared puppy. She was there for four days. And every morning Carlos prayed he wouldn’t see her shredded by a coyote.
No one in the area recognized the puppy, but animal advocate and rescuer Faith Easdale, couldn’t wait a moment longer to help. After a full day of work, Faith, still dressed in her high heels, drove out to help the puppy. And there she was – hiding in the corner.

it was very upsetting seeing her hiding in that corner. Carlos joined me and I set a trap and she finally felt safe enough to go in.
It had been a good night, and Faith breathed a sigh of relief. She carried the puppy out of the trap and brought her to a foster home, but she was concerned; the puppy’s belly was so large. Was she pregnant or did she have a load of parasites? She was just a baby. An appointment for the next day was made with the veterinarian hospital. This puppy needed help.

Just one day later, this little one, dubbed Dapple, was diagnosed with parvo virus. Just two days ago, she had been eating fine and loving the chicken she had been offered. Yesterday, she didn’t eat, and then this morning she was rushed back to the hospital and is now fighting for her life.

Dapple’s veterinary expenses are extremely expensive, but she wants to live. She’s just a puppy and deserves to live her life filled with love, fun and adventure. Please help.
