People don’t realize these mules and donkeys are beyond loyal, once you earn its trust you’ve have a best friend. and they are so over protective to livestock etc. They will chase off coyotes.
Donkeys can make excellent pets. They are social and curious and surely can enrich your life with their personalities and antics. When they are treated with kindness and compassion, they give it back through their loyalty and no doubt love.
And they do scare away predators. The donkeys’ brays and their bravery will confront and chase dogs or coyotes out of their pastures.
Donkey pets are not for everyone though. Training them requires consistency. They need to be groomed and handled regularly, and as we always try to stress – speak with a trusted veterinarian before inviting any animal into your care.
Meanwhile, we can all smile at Brooke Hagen’s fortune and smile from ear to ear as we watch these amazing moments of freedom and love.
