In Gentry, Arkansas, three puppies, barely a week old, had been stuffed into a feed sack and thrown into a dumpster behind the Dollar General Market on JR Beaver on Wednesday night. Fortunately, the puppies were rescued and owe their lives to their as yet unnamed hero, who heard their tiny, plaintive cries, found them in the dumpster and then made sure they were warm and safe until help arrived.
Temperatures on Wednesday had been expected to drop into the mid 30s amid frost warnings.
According to the Gentry Police Department, the puppies were originally scheduled to be moved to a foster home, however because of their age and special needs, the puppies have been sent to Best Friends in Bentonville.

On their Facebook page, police state there is video of the incident and specifically addressed message to the person responsible for dumping the puppies:
We have you on video. I’m sure you were aware of the freeze warning last night when you opted to throw these babies out like trash.
The police have asked the community for any information regarding the person(s) responsible for such a heartless deed to contact the department at 479.736.8400.
