At Mac’s Mission located in Jackson, Missouri, a message posted August 26 on Facebook quickly went viral, after a plea went out asking for help with a heartbreaking case. A nearby shelter had messaged them about a 16-year-old Chihuahua, named Nasa, whose previous owners didn’t want him anymore and had “grown tired of waiting for him to die.”

The shelter’s message:
the thought of us having to put him down here after he has lost everything he’s ever known does not feel right to me.
Although the rescue organization stated they were at full capacity, they had no qualms about helping and stepped up. A foster was found, and it wasn’t long before Nasa was on his way to his foster home.
(this one will make you big mad) URGENT RESCUE HAPPENING. We are outraged at this rescue case: cliff notes: 16 year old dumped at shelter because the lifetime owners were tired of waiting for him to die. Full story in the comments in a screen-grab. We got you little buddy. He is in transport with Chris and on his way directly to our foster Sarah. We have zero space but here we are.
Narwhal.
A few days later Nasa suffered from a seizure, but since that episode has been doing fine. He has been adapting well to being with his foster family. They say he’s “utter perfection.” How could anyone not want this little guy? How could anyone not love him?

Nasa is almost blind and hearing-impaired. The number of days, weeks or months Nasa has left is unknown, but the organization, and especially his foster family want to make sure he gets all the love and care he needs. It is hoped the right person to adopt Nasa is soon chosen – there have been a number of applications.
