In Compton, California, a Good Samaritan called a local rescuer asking for help. Not too far away from his home, near the school his children attended, he saw them; three dogs in a cardboard box. All three had been soaking wet, and it was a mother dog and her two skinny puppies. He was just heartbroken.

Traffic had been extremely congested when Suzette Hall, founder of Logan’s Legacy 29, had been notified about the heartbreaking situation. She had just left the Los Angeles area after rescuing another dog. Fortunately, another rescue volunteer was close to the area and offered assistance.

And there they were – the three dogs waiting in the cardboard box. They were nearly hairless, cold and hungry. Surely a heartless individual abandoned them and just walked away.

She got them safe
And back to her house
This little mama protected her little girls for days and even when Genavie gave them food , she stood back and let her babies eat first
This little family snuggled together for the night
They can finally sleep, warm and with full bellies
On Thursday afternoon, Suzette picked up the family from their temporary foster home. The family of three were transported to the organization’s partner veterinarian where they will be receiving the care they need and deserve. These dogs will never live in a box again.
Today they have names. Meet the mom – Lela. Her two puppies have been named Shelby and Tallulah. Welcome to your new lives little ones.
