It is estimated that 25 to 30 percent of shelter dogs are purebred. Fortunately, many purebred rescue groups remove “their” breed from a shelter which frees up kennel space and buys time for another dog. Unfortunately, across the nation, the number of purebred dogs and puppies continue to struggle with finding homes after having been found as strays or turned into shelters by their owners, for a variety of not so well thought out reasons.

Social media often stars the most adorable pets engaged in the most adorable antics, however these displays often lead to people buying puppies and dogs without realizing the commitment needed to care for their pets.
And so we have the perfect example pictured here, and we don’t know why Remy’s family have never reached out to the City of San Bernardino Animal Services to reclaim their beautiful Airedale terrier. This handsome guy is listed as four-years-old, is friendly with people and other dogs and is oh so ready to find a home where he will be cared for and loved.
