At the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter in California, a Beagle and German shepherd arrived together on December 11 after being found as strays. No doubt the dogs had been bonded, and they were housed together in the same kennel at the shelter. By December 18, their stray hold had expired, and the dogs were made eligible for adoption.

The two dogs depended on each other for comfort. It was hoped they could be adopted together.

Just days ago, the Beagle was “Returned to Owner” while the shepherd dubbed Henry remains listed. It is thought the owner of both dogs had decided to leave one behind. Henry is devastated.

Check out this video. This is how the two dogs were when first brought in and were kenneled together.
