In Fort White, Florida, three women had a close encounter of the dangerous kind while floating on inflatable tubes along the Ichetucknee River last Friday. One of the women, Carole Chapus captured the video of an alligator perched on a log, and posted it to TikTok.
The three friends had been relaxing as they floated down the river when Carole yelled as heard in the video:
Get out of here! It’s hissing at her! i’ve never seen a gator on the Ichetucknee ever.

The woman kicks off from the log and quickly floated away. Later when interviewed, Carole thinks the gator had been protecting her nest, and that’s why the gator was hissing as she may have feared the women were getting too close to her.
Fortunately, no one was hurt – women all okay and gators – they are fine; just leave them alone please.
