Stunning German shepherd past due at California shelter and has not been rescued

A stunning three-year-old German shepherd has been at the Baldwin Park East Animal Shelter in California and recently placed on the euthanasia list. By some miracle, she is still alive, but it is important that she find a rescuer, a foster or an adopter as soon as possible.

This is what has been shared online about this girl. On April 8, 2023, Molly was impounded. Delving into her history, it appears she had been adopted twice from the Pasadena Humane Society. She does have a microchip, however it was never re-registered by the second adoptive home. Molly was found roaming the streets of El Monte and arrived at Baldwin Park Animal Shelter.

Notes indicate the second adopter had been notified their dog had been brought into the shelter, however Molly was never reclaimed.

Additional information:

Molly is a sweet gentle gal who is quiet unless a dog passes by. Then is quite reactive to other dogs. Will probably be better outside the noisy shelter kennel environment and of course as an indoor dog and beloved family member.

Molly is very treat motivated. She took them eagerly but gently. Per call center, the facility has her on a diet so she was extra eager to receive treats (I only bring healthy treats). Molly knows

‘sit’ and gives her paw. She is very alert, intelligent, attentive and makes eye contact. Molly would repeatedly place her paw on my hand and give kisses.

She’s a large gal at 91 lbs. She also has a typical LH – GSD large frame – straight back, solid legs, but could lose a few pounds. She has a gorgeous thick coat so will need regular / consistent brushing. She was probably well-fed and not exercised. Call center labeled her ‘low energy’ but she may perk
