In Orangeburg, South Carolina, the local shelter is asking for help with Phoebe; a young black and brown hound mix found two days ago staggering into a resident’s yard looking for food or just some help. The Good Samaritans were heartbroken as they watched the skin and bones dog literally cry out for help. They gave her some food and water and reached out to the shelter.

At the Orangeburg County Animal Control and Shelter animal control officers arrived at the home and picked her up, placing her in the front seat of the truck.

Meet Phoebe; this young pup is so starved, the top of her head has sunken in. She is tired and when the officer placed her in the truck, Phoebe just sprawled out and didn’t want to budge.

The shelter is reaching out to approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Please share Phoebe’s plight; she deserves so much better. If interested, please reach out to the shelter’s Rescue Coordinator.
