Puppy with his legs taped together in bucket found dumped inside dumpster

The Pulaski County Police Department in Virginia is asking for the public’s help finding the person(s) responsible for abandoning a small dog in a dumpster at Ollie’s shopping center late last week.

According to the press release posted by the police department on social media, officers responded in the morning to assist a Pulaski County Animal Control officer in reference to a small dog trapped inside of a paint bucket with a lid on top; its legs had been taped together with electrical tape.

The bucket the dog was found in had a white lid with “Pioneer Athletics” written on it.

The dog was rescued by a man who heard small noises coming from the dumpster. The man freed the dog’s legs and gave him water and called for emergency help.

A monetary reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for this cruel deed. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Riddle at 540.994.8609.

The dog is in the care of the Pulaski County Animal Control is not available at this time for adoption.
