At the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Department, last week, deputies had been called by neighbors in the Deer Creek area reporting a “vicious” dog that had been terrorizing their neighborhood.

According to body cam footage released by the department, the deputies were quite surprised when they indeed discovered the “Cujo” (the 1983 novel by Stephen King), however even when coming face to face, “Cujo” turned out to be more of a “Toto.”

The pint sized pup made a lot of noise, but he barely inflicted anything more than annoyance and an extra trip for deputies likely preparing themselves for an out of control dog encounter.

This weekend, Deputies responded to a call about a vicious dog terrorizing neighbors in Deer Creek. Brave deputies risked their lives to bring this call to a successful conclusion. Warning: The body camera video we have included is reminiscent of some of the more terrifying scenes in the movie “Cujo”, and could be disturbing to some viewers.

“Please let this be the vicious dog,” one deputy said. That particular deputy then walked towards the little terror and asked “what’s up Toto?”

And we love our deputy, because he ushered the little canine back to the fence where he likely escaped, and piled the tiny stones from the yard against the hole to keep the little guy safely in his own yard.

No one was hurt – no complaining people in the neighborhood, no deputies called out nor a tiny little terrier pooch who couldn’t have weighed more than 10 pounds.
