The Oklahoma City Police Department and Oklahoma City Animal Welfare are asking for the public’s help finding and identifying the person(s) responsible for purposely drowning four dogs at Edwards Park in Oklahoma City. The dogs had been tied up to heavy blocks and weighted objects and then tossed in the pond.

According to a press release and video from the police, the first drowned dog was discovered on January 19, near NE 10th Street and I35. Three more dogs have since been discovered.

these dogs have been tied up to either cinderblock or a brick or something heavy to weigh the dogs down obviously so they can throw them in there and die. We want to put this out there hoping that maybe someone who lives in the area might have seen something suspicious, because whoever is doing this is taking the dogs to the pier there at the pond and simply throwing them off the pier weighted down.

  1. The police need to show pictures of the dogs so maybe someone will recognize them and get the POS owner! These dog were probably non performing fighting dogs and they didn’t want to feed them any more. Dog fighting has made a big come back in OK, MO, KS and AR. I have heard they meet in the four state corners and have been using a highway under pass for the fights. And worse that some police officers are involved but that’s all I know. Rumors ya know.
