Spring training history often has a lot of strange sounds and sights, but with Opening Day getting closer, what could be more interesting and fun than hearing the “dog did it.” And in this particular situation at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Arizona, it had been an exhibition game on Saturday between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Kansas City Royals, that the ultimate surprise really happened and the dog “really did it.”

For all of you avid baseball fans, the Dodgers had been trailing the Royals 5-2 during the seventh inning when Michael Busch hit the ball well over the wall in left center field. So all the fans are just fumbling, reaching their hands up, donning their gloves and trying their best to catch that flying baseball when … that’s right the dog caught it!

What a catch, and the human accompanying the dog just happened to be wearing a Dodgers jersey with the “number” K-9 on the back of it.

Sadly, the Dodgers didn’t really do much after that wild homer, and that became the last Dodger run of the game with the team losing 6-3.

So all in all … there’s the ultimate doggy game of fetch?
