At the New York City Animal Care Center in Manhattan, New York, Peachy has been issued her death sentence. Her homeless family had no other choice but to bring Peachy to the shelter, and there they asked for help. Instead, Peachy is slated to be euthanized today.

Peachy loved her family, and they loved her. She had blended nicely with children of all ages and other little dogs who lived in the same home. And then came a tragic turn of events, and Peachy’s family became homeless, and today her life hangs by a delicate thread. Will someone come and rescue her before it’s too late?

Need a little more insight into Peachy? A volunteer writes:

Peachy is quite precious, with those precious eyes and silvery blue coat. There’s a whole lot of world to take in at once, and for Peachy, it can be overwhelming. What a gal like Peachy really needs is that tender human hand to nurture, guide her and slowly help her open up and realize the world can be a safe and secure place for a dog that wants nothing more than to feel comfortable.

Sweetheart Peachy

And what stood out to everyone who has ever met Peachy is when she cried when the medical staff walked away from her. This two-year-old dog is in need of comfort; she cries when strangers walked away from her. It broke everyone’s hearts.
