Thank you to the awesome guys from the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, for rescuing a French bulldog named Cookie, after he got his paw stuck in the sink drain and needed special help to free him.

According to the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue Facebook page, it had been on Wednesday when six-month-old Cookie, accidentally stuck her paw into the drain while getting a bath and her humans couldn’t free her. The panicky pet parents, who live in West Palm Beach, called firefighters who responded quickly to the pup’s uncomfortable plight.

A shift was called to the 2000 block of Haverhill Rd in unincorporated West Palm Beach this evening to assist “Cookie.” She is 6 month old Frenchie that got her paw stuck in the kitchen sink drain while getting a bath. #Station36 worked diligently to first remove the drain from the sink

And then the rescue was enhanced by SpecialOperations34 who arrived and used their tools to cautiously cut the remaining metal from around the paw. The entire extrication took over an hour.

After being freed from the drain, the paw was bandaged and Cookie was taken by her family to an animal hospital for further treatment.
