In Huntington, West Virginia, a sweet dog named Chief had been missing since 2017. He disappeared from his owner’s home when he was only a year-and-a-half old. This past weekend Chief was found!

Missing from north expressway waffle house. Followed a friend walking. His name is chief and is very friendly. He is chipped n wearing camoflauge collar and should have ID tag w info. Last seen w blonde haired lady in waffle house parking lot. Plz plz la return him. This is our baby.

Tara thought that her dog either jumped the fence in the yard or had dug under it to get free, and even though she searched for him, posted on social media and tried to track him down, there had been no traces of her beloved pooch; that is until….
On Saturday afternoon, a couple found the dog wandering on the street and brought him to the Huntington-Cabell-Wayne Animal Control Shelter. According to Wsaz.com news, the staff at the shelter were able to find Ms. Hillis because of the dog’s microchip. Tara was full of emotion when the shelter called her, telling her they found her dog – the dog Tara was sure she would likely have never seen again.
Tara is still working out the details to get her beloved dog back home. Someone from the shelter has even offered to drive the loveable pup halfway.
