Near Youngstown, Ohio, an individual was caught on surveillance video Monday morning, tying a dog by her leash to a rod on the railroad tracks located near a business on E. Florida Avenue.

According to the post and video on the Mahoning County Dog Warden Facebook page, authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying three individuals at the scene. One person can be seen tying the dog while the other two watch as the dog “repeatedly looks up at the one individual while wagging her tail wanting to trust them.”

The dog, wearing a blue collar, was rescued three hours later by a local business owner who brought the female dog to the county warden and then reviewed his security video that showed the disturbing situation.

Besides being very thin, the dog is doing well. If anyone recognizes this dog or has more information about this alleged animal cruelty, please contact 330.740.2205 or email [email protected].
