The two female dogs are extremely bonded and had never left the property where they lived before, according to their heartbroken mom, Julia McClurg. She doesn’t know how they escaped outside of the front gate, but believes they were picked up by strangers as they walked along the road.

According to KdvrNews, the family has used thermal drones to track the dogs and has hired pet communicators to help find them. One communicator stated that the dogs are in the neighborhood but have been split up.
