In one of the most heartwarming moments between a young boy and his new puppy, 13-year-old Oscar’s reaction to his new puppy has all of us crying tears of joy. In a video shared by Oscar’s mom, who are from Redcar and Cleveland in North Yorkshire, United Kingdom, the youngster is overcome with emotion when given the 13-week-old cockapoo early in November.

According to the Daily Mail and the video, Oscar lives with a “life limited disability” and has two Labrador retrievers as part of the family, Oscar always wanted a small dog he could hold in his arms and cuddle whenever he felt anxious.

Check out the video:

At the start of the video, Oscar’s mom enters the home cuddling the puppy in her arms telling her son she has brought home a present for him. The boy eagerly asks what she has and then sees the adorable puppy.

Meet Red.

Have we got a new dog?

You have.

Oscar takes the puppy into his arms and begins to softly cry. And then the child’s mom explains that Red also has a disability and that his one front leg is shorter than the other leg; the breeder no longer wanted the puppy and had left her at a local animal shelter.

Oscar’s reaction was just priceless, and we couldn’t have loved this story more. Great work mom – you are awesome.
