When a Good Samaritan reached out for help with a dog struggling to breathe in the Rio Grande area of Texas, rescuers from Dallas Dog-Rescue.Rehab.Reform rushed forward. By Sunday, the dog now dubbed Arnia, had arrived at the emergency veterinary hospital. How so many people just ignored her and walked by her in this condition was heartbreaking.

When she arrived at the veterinarian hospital, Arnia was covered in fleas and ticks; she tested positive for Ehrlichiosis. In addition, she is anemic and required an albumin transfusion. Her glucose was on the low end of normal; she struggled to maintain her body temperature, however she remains in stable condition.

She was fighting to live maybe she thought she would die there in the corner maybe she hoped someone would stop.

Who really knows what a dog feels when they lay their (sic) dying with no family or support!!

Well first off huge thank you to the woman who did not turn her eye, not only did she stop but she picked her up and got her help!!

Arnia weighs 28 pounds and is only two-years-old; such a tragic life for a dog so young. She has no body fat on her broken body and still is struggling to survive. Today’s update describes Arnia as still unable to maintain her body temperature, her glucose remains low, however her albumin levels are going up in the right direction.

Her hospital bill keeps increasing, and help to provide Arnia with all the care needed would be appreciated.

More updates to be provided.
