For a week, a timid, unwanted puppy roamed the area of Edinburg, Texas scavenging for food. No one teaches stray puppies how to survive on the streets, the fields and vacant lots; it’s either live or die. And as if trying to find enough food to eat to stave off the hunger pains in her tiny body, something even worse happened; she was hit by a car.

Just hours ago, the puppy was hit by a car. From head to toe, her entire body may have been shattered. She laid in the field licking her wounds, her teeth falling out from the impact of the crash, hoping the pain would disappear. She was not able to stand after her one leg shattered in pieces.

A plea went out on social media begging for help.

She desperately needs a rescue and foster. Very weak, and not smart enough for the streets. She’s as good as dead.

Harsh words, but the puppy’s life was in grave danger. Fortunately, Houston K-911 Rescue stepped up to help on Monday night. She has been transported to the emergency veterinarian hospital in McAllen.

Please honor your pledges. Donations are needed.
